FAQ

Similar to the writing center, we routinely send email updates to our student’s professors with a brief description of the tutoring services.

Does the center tell my professor that I obtained tutoring services?

Simply download the following document. It details all of the steps needed to setup an online appointment:

How do I access the virtual tutoring service?

Besides a computer with connection to the internet, and a headset, you only need a few additional items for a virtual tutoring session. Make sure to have an electronic copy if you plan to discuss a paper assignment, exam/quiz review sheet, and/or a rough draft. This way you can send those documents as an attachment via MyWC if your tutor requests that information.

Absolutely, we encourage students to access our tutoring services in the manner that is most convenient for them! Feel free to call and setup an appointment, walk-in during tutoring hours, and/or contact the tutor directly via Skype!

Can I still meet with a tutor face to face?

In this case, you can request to send an email with your questions/comments by email. If you are requesting feedback about a specific assignment, make sure to attach that information to your email. The tutor will respond to your inquiry during their scheduled tutor hours!
